Chetan is a power systems and infrastructure leader with nearly 20 years’ experience in grid connection, transmission, substations and mission-critical electrical systems, with a focus on energising the infrastructure that supports the energy transition. His expertise spans grid access planning, connection risk, transmission and substation development up to 500 kV, technical due diligence and owner’s engineer advisory. He has extensive industry experience in renewable energy zones, renewable generation, battery storage, pumped hydro and data centres. He advises utilities, developers, investors and government. Before joining Rennie, Chetan spent six years at GHD, most recently as APAC Service Line Lead for Power Systems. Prior to that, he delivered high voltage projects at UGL and ABB, and began his career as an electrical engineer with URS and AECOM. Chetan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) from Auckland University of Technology and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland and Victoria.
