Ajith is a highly experienced Power Systems Engineer with more than 30 years of experience across power generation, transmission and network planning. His career spans utility, network and consulting environments, providing deep technical expertise in power system analysis, protection and renewable energy integration. Since 2019, Ajith has specialised in supporting generator connection projects under the National Electricity Rules (NER), including utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage (BESS) and hybrid developments. His experience includes managing connection studies, commissioning activities and R2 support for new generating systems, including projects incorporating both grid-following and grid-forming inverter technologies. Prior to relocating to Australia, Ajith held a range of senior engineering and leadership positions with the Ceylon Electricity Board in Sri Lanka, including Head of Transmission Control and Protection. He also gained valuable Australian network experience with SA Power Networks as a Protection and Control Planning Engineer. Combining extensive technical knowledge with practical industry experience, Ajith supports clients in navigating complex grid connection and power system challenges.
