MelbourneDr Tony Morton is one of Australia's foremost experts on the grid integration of renewable energy plants, with over 20 years' experience in the electric power industry as both a consultant and researcher. With the Grid Connections team, he has undertaken power system modelling, dynamic performance studies and connection advice across the wind, solar and battery storage sectors, and provided technical assistance securing one of the first large-scale grid connections of grid-forming inverter technology in the National Electricity Market. His standing in academic and industry research is recognised by the Australian Research Council, for whom he has acted as an Expert Assessor. He is an Associate Editor of the journal Control Engineering Practice and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University, and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Engineering Science and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and Bachelor of Science, all from the University of Melbourne.
