SydneyGeoff advises energy transition project developers on securing grant-aligned capital, from ARENA and government funding programs through to institutional equity, to move projects through feasibility, structuring and financial close. With more than 15 years in project finance, capital structuring and infrastructure advisory across Australia, New Zealand and the United States, Geoff specialises in hydrogen, concentrated solar, renewable natural gas and solar manufacturing, and in the grant, production credit and concessional finance architecture that underpins Australia's energy transition pipeline. Geoff supports clients through submissions to government, business cases, feasibility studies, production credit and grant structuring, financial modelling, project structuring and institutional capital raising. His recent work spans a $100M+ application for a 2GW solar manufacturing facility, bidder advisory across ARENA's flagship hydrogen production credit programs, a $165M concentrated solar funding package combining concessional debt and grant funding, and a $100M institutional capital raise for a renewable natural gas project in Queensland. Before joining Rennie, Geoff was a Senior Director in the Energy and Climate Advisory practice of a Big 4 firm. Earlier in his career he held senior advisory roles at EY in Sydney, a boutique infrastructure investment bank in San Francisco, and PwC Infrastructure Advisory in Sydney and Auckland, where his work included complex project finance and PPP mandates including Sydney Metro, WestConnex, Boston Public Transport Fair Collection PPP and the Los Guzmancito Wind Farm Refinancing. Geoff holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Software Engineering) from Massey University, and has completed executive education with Corality, Pivotal180 and the PexaPark PPA Academy.
