Owais is a Senior Power Systems Engineer with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and nearly four years of experience delivering grid connection studies for utility-scale renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM). He has expertise in delivering end-to-end grid connection studies across the R0, R1, and R2 stages, including power system modelling, simulation, GPS compliance assessments, due diligence studies, model validation, and commissioning support. Owais has worked extensively on Solar PV, hybrid, and Grid Forming BESS projects across Australia, collaborating with AEMO, Network Service Providers (NSPs), and OEMs. He is proficient in PSS®E, PSCAD, DIgSILENT Power Factory, MATLAB/Simulink, PSS®SINCAL, and Python Automation, and has authored several peer-reviewed publications on solar photovoltaic systems, power system stability, and renewable energy integration.
