Our Industrials & Infrastructure experience
Australian Listed Energy Generation and Retail Company: Global learnings from effective regional transition to industrial energy precincts.
Rennie was engaged to conduct strategic research to identify global case studies of where coal-fired power stations had been transitioned to circular economy energy precincts and identify insights that could be incorporated into our clients strategy.
Our client has a strategic objective to transition its generation assets in regional communities in a way that leaves lasting positive legacy impacts to those communities.
Renewable Energy Roadmap
The client is a telecommunications provider in Australia, providing more than 12 million customers with services across Australia each day. With over 6,700 employees across the country, the client offers a wide range of services, including mobile and home phone plans, internet and broadband, entertainment options, satellite services and business solutions.
The client was seeking the development of a renewable energy roadmap that would enable it to achieve its emissions reductions targets for its Scope 2 emissions. The roadmap considered the client’s objectives against the contracting structures available in the market to determine its ideal commercial pathway. This roadmap was presented to executives for endorsement to commence the work outlined within which Rennie is providing ongoing support on.
Australian Energy Generation and Retail Company: EV market entry strategy
The Client is a privately owned generator and retailer operating across the NEM and WA. The Client also operates distribution infrastructure, supplying power to homes and businesses
The Client engaged Rennie to explore opportunities in Australia’s emerging electric vehicle (EV) market. The Client wanted to understand the market outlook, key risks and opportunities, and to develop a clear entry strategy and roadmap for participation in EV value pools.
